Château Phélan Ségur

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

In 1805, Daniel Phelan, an Irish wine broker, acquired le Clos de Garamey, and was followed in 1810 by the acquisition of the Segur de Cabanac estate, creating the domain that remains today. Aromas and flavors of black cherry and blueberry with cacao, gentle oak and herb character. Firm grip on tannins, lingering this big wine to an earthy ending. Tight now give it some time, decanting helps if you must now! — 6 years ago

Scar of the Sea

CoFerment Cider

New town pippin apples and mondeuse collab with phelan farms. Very much in the geuze framboise conversation but grainless which I very much appreciate. Apples are usually boring as hell and I feel whatever mondeuse they used here brought the right amount of fruit and fun to possibly what may have been kind of boring and serious. This is not a wine you would likely want to spend a lot of money on but boy do I want to drink A LOT of it. — 4 years ago
