Zinfandel at Patrick's โ 7 years ago
Social distancing at home for a Saint Patrick's Day celebration with a WS pinot!
Pop and pour. A forbidding medium garnet color. On the nose: floral, tart raspberry, orange peel, and crushed rocks. Taste: A soft, light WS wine with strawberry, slight spice, vanilla. A medium finish ending with cinnamon berries and a slight tannic kick. โ 5 years ago
Paired this delicious wine, from our last trip to Sonoma County 2016, with spinach and ricotta ravolis. We've been letting it settle from it's move from NJ to IL and decided St Patrick's day Eve seemed like as good of an excuse as any to break it open. Worth the wait. Label say...in the winter, when you draw the wine, let there be in your heat a song for each cup... Well singing it's praises. Full-bodied and we'll rounded finish. Great white wine. Beautiful finish, we had it with corned beef on St. Patrick's day. Hints of honey, bought it on a trip to the central coast at central coast wines. โ 6 years ago
Blaufrankisch oh yeah, had a nice bitterness to back up all of those blue fruit nuances!! Had with some artisanal patchwork farm bakery blue cheese & walnut ๐ toasted up with kerrygold butter!! Went very well together!!! Happy Saint Patrick's day everyone!!! โ 6 years ago

So worth the wait on this wine and I know it can age further!
Tannins nicely integrated! Big Rutherford Dust, milk chocolate, black licorice, caramel, plum skins, blackberries, cherry cobbler, boysenberry, tar, pencil lead, and graphite! I could probably keep swirling, tasting..to discover more wonderful nuances..time ๐ to sit back and enjoy! ๐
