Popped and poured into red Solo cups. The 2012 “Grands Terroirs” pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, this is intensely autolytic with notes of fresh, toasted brioche, baked apple, raspberry, lemon curd and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. From magnum. Drink now through 2037. Disgorged June 2021. — 4 months ago
This wine is drinking really well. Nice and juicy but still has nice tannin structure on the finish! — 5 months ago
Violets, violets and more violets aromatically, after sitting in the decanter for 15 minutes, this wine decided to show its still youthful tannin, likely to inform me that it was still way too young to drink, long finish, but ideally needs more cellaring, one of my favorite Bordeaux ever, I have some more bottles so will wait on those, amazing!! — 13 days ago

Definitely made me want to have an “Alter Ego”…. Doesn’t need to be decanted for long. smooth light drink but so delicious — 4 days ago
Nice experience but not worth the money. Strong initial funk that eventually gave way to some fruit. Silky mouth feel but so many better wines for less money. — 5 months ago

Vino Joe
It was more subdued than I expected. I tend to like the Merlot heavy Bordeaux but this one was still a bit muted. Perhaps it needs more time even though it’s well in its recommended range. Dark and heavy. Solid but left me underwhelmed. Decanted. Better after an hour. — 2 days ago
