Wait for it... the second day this showed well, and finally started to open with some forest and Burgundian notes. The first day was tight and sharp. ... I don’t agree with some of the sky high magazine reviews, perhaps projecting potential like an over valued dot com. — 5 years ago

A 2017 year on 2022, cellared correctly. Peaking and delightful. Bought Red Dot $20. Served w an olive heavy tomato pasta , so good. Low tannins, high acid; good with food. A lot of wonderful fruit — 2 years ago

100% Hárslevelű from Hungary’s Somló region. Deep gold color showing the age. Wet hay and dried apricot nose with honey undertone. Also reminds me of the sweet burnt caramel aromas of creme brûlée. On the palate sweet tropical fruit acidity (mango, pineapple), mineral and earth throughout. Heavy weight and plenty of texture puts this in the same league as some of the best Burgundy whites. From @sommselect dot com: This wine is farmed and crafted by Fekete Béla who is a 90-something-year-old unsung magician that turned a few acres of an ancient volcanic hillside terroir into thought-provoking wines with fathomless depth. It really is the work of a magician. — 6 years ago
A sort of apricot forward, light frizzy marmalade herb, rosemary, mint bouquet. It’s subtle and almost graceful like a swan’s dance on the surface of water.
Love, love the unapologetic nature of the bubbles and effervescence. It’s the grand entrance to the ballroom. The backless gown that says I’m here because this party would not exist without me, or at least it would not be as great or fun or story-worthy. These are the jeans that are too tight, the pocket square that doesn’t match, the polka dot socks, the nose stud on the guy that’s got the best suit in the house, and just makes the whole damn thing work.
Drink it. Love it. Tell everyone.
Peach soda, light to medium body, umami and the tart sweetness of a ripe mango. Every magnetic sip bursting with pure discovery and, most of all, the thing people forget in high culture, regular old fun. — 4 years ago
Grape: Baladi, from West Bank, Palestine. Medium ruby color, tobacco and blueberry nose. The nose reminds me of a Rhône wine because of the gamy and fatty meat flavors. On the palate, it’s a good balance of fruit, tannin and acidity, but lacking length. The wine has the earthiness of a Bordeaux and game flavors of a Syrah. From @sommselect dot com: “From a 133-year-old winemaking monastery, made from Holy Land native grapes like Dabouki, Hamdani, Jandali, and Baladi. They are all planted in the Biblical Hills of Bethlehem and Hebron.” — 6 years ago
Bought at Yankee yellow dot sale in October 2018. Sale price was 27.99. I liked this enough to get another at full price of $34.99 although the next one is a 2011. I always like this wine maker but only had whites until now. — 6 years ago

Great balance. I paid $40 from wine dot com in 2018. Should have gotten more! — a year ago
