Delicious but not quite as good as it used to be. Lots of cherry. — 4 years ago
We had the 2014 Vintage on 10/1-2/20. This is a good, full bodied, fruit forward Pinot Noir. The lead flavor on the bouquet and palate is black cherry. There is some oak and sweet spice. The tannins need to be smoothed with the aerator. I would buy more. — 6 years ago
. This Garys did not disappoint; loaded with fruit, flowers and spice notes all around. Taste had the same and a bit of cola and some minerality. Very smooth finish just a very enjoyable wine.
Last bottle of Garys, in fact no more Rosella and Pisoni either. Always thought the Garys’ were the best. Rosella were okay and forget about the Pisoni. Pisoni were either so over the top it was undrinkable and then another bottle was stunning - stopped buying them early on. Still have a bunch of Roar’s Sierra Mar and SLH. But over all, prices too high and I’m too old to hold wines for 5 to 10 years before drinking them. — 3 months ago
Still a great vintage and could have many more years to go. — 6 months ago

We had the 2012 Vintage on 9/24-25/21. This is a full bodied, well balanced Pinot Noir. The bouquet is wonderful with black fruit and cardomom. The palate has bing cherry, wild strawberry, oak and even a little vanilla. A very good wine. — 5 years ago
Paired with a seafood risotto and a salad. Nice nose, velvety on the palate and smooth finish. — 2 months ago
W. Still quite good. Subdued fruit with moderate floral tones. Very well balanced with nice complexity once it opened — 4 months ago

Flat Iron has some bottlesVery light in color with a meaty strawberry licorice nose. Just lovely sweet tannins and plushness on palate but with enough acidity to keep it light on its feet. Surprising medium finish. 🔥for the money. — 3 years ago

Poured into a decanter about two hours prior to service and enjoyed over the course of several days. Yes…you read that right. This benefitted greatly from air. The 2019 Syrah SLH pours a purple color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of blackberries, fig, plum, purple flowers, black pepper, animale, black olive brine, dried green herbs, earth and gentle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+ and loaded with minerals. Initially, this was quite pretty on the nose but backward on the palate. After all of the air, it swung into balance and it was beautiful. Drink now with a lot of air and some patience, through 2039+. — 10 days ago
