Nice legs. Rich with tannins. It needs ample time to breathe. Good with buttery steaks. — 5 years ago
This was a stunning wine from our cellar, enjoyed on Christmas Day 2020 to accompany Japanese wagu steaks! Beautifully balanced and velvety finish!! This vintage is 92% Cab, 7% Petite Verdot and a mere 1% Merlot. Loved it! — 6 years ago
Well... it’s not bold journey that’s for sure.
Smells stronger then it tastes.
A top 10 wine bar in Omaha and surrounding areas? Hmmmm.......
Maybe it’s because of the sammy’s....it IS a wine AND deli. — 6 years ago

Great wine for the money. Bought it on prescription before it was bottled. Great to beef steaks. — 9 years ago
A wonderful and flavorful Spanish red! Bold and juicy! Enjoyed it with beef steaks. Flavors of blueberry, blackberry and dark cherry. — 6 months ago
My belated birthday dinner wine; had this with mesquite-grilled hangar steaks with chimichurri. A sentimental favorite winery. The nose has loads of focused cassis, graphite, dry underbrush. Classic. In the mouth, it seems young-ish still: nicely-concentrated, but with still a few elbows from the tannins and the alcohol, which haven’t quite fully integrated. The flavors are clingy, with the cassis and graphite amping up a bit from the nose and lingering. Really nice wine. — 5 years ago

Anniversary— enjoyed with ribeye steaks — 6 years ago

We really liked this cab. Perfect setting with NY Strip Steaks and Sweet Potatoes. Full of cherry and blackberry. — 7 years ago

Absolutely delicious Brunello from 2001. Intense aromatics, deeply mouth filling. Decanted for a couple hours. Had with prime dry aged steaks. Just an awesome pairing. Really an iconicly excellent wine. — 9 years ago
Color is a dark blue-purple. Dark fruit, baked blackberries and cassis are the primary aromas followed by black tea and spice with a lingering touch of eucalyptus. Still tastes a little young with some heat but mouth coating and filling the palate with blackberries, cocoa, leather, and espresso beans. A medium plus jammy finish. Will go well with our New York bone in steaks. — 2 years ago
2008 WS wine of the year. Finally time to open with steaks. Great wine from the first sip — 5 years ago
Early valentine's dinner (oysters are done)... now reverse seared rib cap steaks.
1 hour decant (decent chunky sediment). A grand dark burnt crimson color with decent bricking. On the nose: Bingo!!! That delicate aged sweet perfumed cab nose burst from the glass with dark berries, creme brulee, mint, sweet tobacco, stewed meat. Taste: velvety smooth, full body wine with earth, dark berries, sandlewood, cocoa and a spiced cassis medium plus finish. Holding up great, but don't wait to try!! Its what you want in an aged Napa cab. — 5 years ago

Planned a waygu strip from AB today but didn’t work out, so tomorrow is the day of reckoningVery concentrated and actually tastes more like a ripe Bordeaux than a cali cab. Went perfect with steaks. Opened 4 hours before then 1 hour decant and was ready to drink. Early on was still closed on the nose but after it was singing. Very concentrated wine staining to a certain degree. All in very good! — 8 years ago
Delicious - deep smelling and flavorful. Great with steaks. — 9 years ago

Delectable didn't give this vintage much love, but Delectable has been shatting the bed lately. This wine is fantastic. I stole a sip, and letting it get a little air before steaks this afternoon. Wonderful medley of fruit and savory components. Lots of sediment. Nice balance, it's going to be perfect with the ribeyes.
Listening to Sixpence None the Richer. Their bassist Justin left the world too soon this week. He was a gifted musician and a fun guy. — 11 days ago
