A light Chardonnay, but still has a good full mouth feel. — 12 days ago
Pale gold color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with a bit of citrus and sweet floral, aged 75% French oak & 25% stainless, no malolactic fermentation. On the palate melon, pineapple, apricot and some honeysuckle with hints of lemon zest and biscuit notes, delicate, complex and well balanced. Long finish, savory, ending with mineral tones and nutty toasty character. Will age well. Outstanding! — 12 days ago
Case alert. Been waiting for this. Bought 2 bottles and going back for more ASAP. Strawberry and lemon flavors, hints of almond, and a vanilla finish. Smooth, crisp, and creamy. A steal at $10. Drinks at 3-4 times the price. Don’t even think of putting orange juice in this.... — 18 hours ago
Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium intensity.
Great nose of blueberries, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, wild flowers, coffee, light earth, light vegetables and pencil lead. Wonderful nose.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, dried cherries, plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, vegetables, earth, spices, black pepper, wet leaves and herbs.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a very enjoyable Carignan from Mendocino County, California. This 43 year old is still drinking nicely. Still very tasty, but doesn't have many years in it.
Great nose, but not fully balanced any longer. Showing great complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Feels like an old Northern Italy red.
Needs an hour to open up properly and show some tannins and complexity. Died after 3 hours of airtime.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
12% alcohol by volume.

Raspberry tinted to near-mahogany. Sported a loose, white, fast fading, jellyfish-markings residue, and shrinking lace spots. Raspberry-apricot-peach marmalade nose, with hatch chili notes. Salted watermelon, tight sound raspberry and sour soft cherry tartness, quinine; tartaric citrus. Light and bright here without excessive pucker. Super session sour for the hot boat days. #greenmanbrewing #NCbeer #beer #biere #biere #birra #berlinerweisse #tartberry #tartbeer #sourbeer #sessionsour — 19 hours ago
Tonight I have opened the 2017 Te Awanga Rod McDonald Mister Sauvignon Blanc.
On the nose there is generous amounts of lime, guava, grapefruit, kiwi fruit, nectarine, white flowers, minerality and wet concrete.
On the palate I am finding nice citrus, lime, white peach, green apple, kiwi fruit, nectarine, celery, herbs and minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity that moves nicely into a long clean citrus finish. Have a continued great weekend and please stay safe. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 13 hours ago
Gold hue. Ripe cantaloupe, star fruit, Bosc pear, white flowers, and wet stone on the nose. Buttered popcorn and creme brûlée on the palate. Medium minus acidity. Full-bodied white that pairs well with pecan-crusted halibut, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with a white truffle butter drizzle, and couscous topped with fresh thyme and gruyere. #merryvale #chardonnay #chardonnaywine #newworldwines #hydevineyard #hydevineyardchardonnay #carneros #calichard #malolactic #foodandwine #chardsohard — 15 days ago
