Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Deep Ruby with aromas of rich berry fruit, floral and complex spice, 76% Cab Sauvignon, 22% Malbec & 3% Petite Verdot . On the palate flavors of blackberry and blueberry with floral spice, integrated vanilla oak and earthy cinnamon. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice, vanilla oak and soft earthy notes, will still develop! A nice fillet mignon with Cabernet gravy will go well. — 9 days ago

2009. Intake is tasting great. Smooth soft tannins yet complex with plum and spice that lingers with dark chocolate and sweetness. — 3 months ago

Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

This 5 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder is delicious right now, although still young.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Strong fruity nose of cedar, black fruits and chocolate notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice complexity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, peppercorn and light cola.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

Tangy and rich, yet elegant. Needs a few hours to open up properly, so be patient.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years, and has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot. Aged in (50% new) French oak barrels for 30 months. Only 1,200 bottles produced.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$100.

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Last night in Estes and trying a new restaurant. Saw this Napa Cab and gave it a try. Bit younger than I normally drink but there is a freshness to this bottle. Strong dark berries on the nose with a more jammy mid palate that reminds of a light Zinfandel. — 4 months ago
