Sauvignon from Alto Adige - an easy wine to like. Usually luscious, ripe, powerful, something to say. And so it goes again here...
I grabbed this guy from the clearance bin and only later realized I had visited the winery a few years ago, a big fancy glossy floored operation in the adorable town of Bolzano - the wine is humble and fits together in itself with sweet quirks and lots of umph.

Visited this vineyard a few years ago. Beautiful area and nice people. The Pinot is quite fragrant. Light, strawberry is the primary flavor. Finishes a little thin. Enjoyed with some apps. — 3 months ago

Beautiful wine from a top vintage. Drinkable now, but definitely still room for ageing. Dark fruit, like black cherries, with notes of leather and cedar. Also still clear green notes, such as paprika and pine needles. Typical San Leonardo style. — 17 hours ago
