Pale ruby in color; cherries, hibiscus, and cloves on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like raspberries, tart cherries, and wet slate with a long finish. Nellie doesn't like it (she says it's tart and chimically), but I love it. — 2 years ago
Pale to medium garnet; medium plus intensity aromas of red cherry, cranberry, dried herbs, forest floor, underbrush; dry, medium plus acid, medium minus tannins, high alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; lovely earthy and complex — 4 years ago
Lemon in colour. Notes of almond, citrus and apricot. The blend is 85% Garganega and 15% Trebbiano di Soave. The latter grape gives a more luscious feel on the palate than you would expect showing peach, ripe apple and mineral. Has filled out nicely since its youth. A lovely wine at its peak with medium minus acid. — 5 years ago
Tart red fruit nose of raspberry, cranberry, and cherry. Bright cherry, on the palate with cranberry, rhubarb, fresh blackberry, and white pepper. Medium minus tannins, medium alcohol, and high acid. A smooth, medium bodied pinot that matched grilled salmon perfectly. — 6 years ago
I’ve had better Napa Cabernets, but not many. From magnum.
This is elegance refined.
Black currants, black berries, black raspberries, both plums into pudding, black cherries, strawberries, raspberry hues, mid berry cola/licorice, mocha powder, dark chocolate brownies, layered baking spices, soft spices w/ a bit of a punch, caramel, anise to black licorice, dry tobacco & used leather, dry crushed rocks, cedar, dry herbs, touch of eucalyptus, dark withering to candied flowers, grand, round acidity, lush, round, balanced, knitted, elegant, smartly polished finish that last minutes and falls on malt ball, softened earth & spice.
Minus a point for a hint of bandaid on the nose that didn’t affect the palate. — 7 months ago
PnP. Dark red color. Fruit forward wine with ample sweetness. Cherries, oak, vanilla, and hints of Amarone on the palate. A mix of Cab, Pinot, and Syrah. Not a pure Cab in my mind. Lovely texture and very sweet. Medium minus finish. Very enjoyable! — 4 years ago
1hr+ decant. Dark red, almost purple color. I wavered across the spectrum on this from 92 to 95. Strengths = Bordeaux like nose with cherries and cedar, silky texture, refined flavor on the palate. Opportunities = medium minus depth, very short finish, was expecting more fruit. 92.5 and rounding up. Torn on if it needs more or less air. — 4 years ago
Blueberries, pomegranate, medium minus tannins, savory, delicious. — 5 years ago
Almost Nebbiolo like in the glass, minus the crazy tannins. Lots of turned earth, crunchy strawberries, raspberries, tar, dry, very nice acidity. Such a beauty with spaghetti and meatballs. Arianna is making some seriously delicious and expressive stuff! — 5 years ago
Typical nose of an Art Series Chardonnay with that dried pear character. On the medium weight palate a nice combination of ripe grapefruit and under ripe yellow peach. Medium minus acid. One can’t help but love this Chardonnay. A wonderful terroir, the Gin Gin clone, great winemaking, and an excellent vintage - ticks all the boxes. At its peak but enough acid for a few more years if you wish. That was my last bottle of the 2011. — 2 years ago

Pale yellow hue. Aromas of apricot, citrus, dried fruit, peach, and rose petal. Medium body with medium-minus acidity. Semi-sweet and a short finish. Very accessible. — 4 years ago
Ho Grafs family minus K visit mom BD 5/7/22. With Philly cheese steak Namaans Pizzeria. 15 years under the belt and still drinking beautifully with that dark fruited stony profile of the winery. Perfect match. — 4 years ago
Medium ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of alpine strawberry, red currant, red cherry, wild herbs, lightly floral; dry, medium plus acid, medium minus tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; lovely, light, perfumed and spicy — 5 years ago
See previous notes - just an outstanding CdP white comprising 80% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc and a few other varieties. Lovely aromatics of musk, apricot and pear. The palate is rich without being heavy - a note of mandarin. Medium minus acid. Just delicious - finding yourself reaching for another glass. Easter Sunday aperitif. — 5 years ago
Mid Lemon in colour. More Lime juice than the recently tasted Crawford River. A slight paraffin note also. On the palate lime and grapefruit of medium plus intensity with medium minus acidity. The merest hint of stone fruit. Cruising at 10 years of age and could go on for a couple more years. My last one from 2010. — 6 years ago
