Signature manure and violets on the nose, purple flowers and forest floor. Very balanced and pretty, incredible acid and chalky minerals all the way through the finish. Great if not quite the brilliant energy and structure of 2014. Such a unique and iconic expression of cab franc. Upgrade to 9.4 after a few days open. Just beautiful.

Tart cranberry, cedar, cinnamon, tart cherry, and raspberry. Medium light tannins, low alcohol, and high acid with a eucalyptus after note.

Barnyard funk blows off with air, revealing graphite, mulberry, plum, and cigar box. Shows finesse on the palate with notes of milk chocolate, cranberry, dried strawberry, and spice. Tannins are softening and approachable, but no rush here. Great length. Solid QPR. Very well done!

Great start to 2022

Forest floor, like dry leaves. Violet, cherry, blackberry, a little bit of green pepper at the end. Soft tannins.

Classic Raffault. Always a good value on a list. Good pairing with the steak au poivre at Raouls.

The nose exhibits savory, floral, and bright red fruit notes - fresh raspberry, fresh strawberry, tart cherry, raw meat, lavender, and French oak. The palate starts with smokey cherry with cola and cocoa kicking in mid-palate. Medium tannins, medium minus alcohol, and high acid. A top notch Chinon that is still bright and vibrant.
