When you pop one and decant and then taste you never really know what to expect but gratefully my family on Delectable has helped me so much - I know it is holidays speaking but we have so much as a group to thankful for - to you and yours - have a glorious holiday
This wine has been resting for a long time - I have decided to start drinking wines that I was storing as I cannot take them with me so Dilly Dilly
What a wine what a wine what a mighty good wine
Dark purplish red as is the season - when I taste I immediately smile and laugh with hohoho sound - the smell is amazing with all the kitchen sink ingredients but somehow I smell mistletoe and cinnamon - ''tis the season again" - and the finish is long like when you watch a big snowflake fall from the sky - it takes forever and ever
Starting my annual Christmas wine journey and again thank you folks for making the wine taste even better with your likes and comments - more wine to come tonight and tomorrow
Smiling for so many reasons and happy holiday — 9 years ago

Dark fruit, mushroom and earth spill from the glass with mighty structure of acidity and tannin that still somewhat cover the fruit, drank after a few hours of opening without decanting, still young and would wait a little bit before reaching its peak — 10 years ago
This is a wine that inspires poets, that is tempting like the company of a beautiful woman, that is robust like the Spanish earth that cultivated the grapes. Sweet like cherry candies and then mighty in its delicious, earthy, finish. Subtle, sweet, perfection. — 10 years ago
Mighty tasty stuff! An easy drinker of a blend, soft and medium-bodied. Leads with plenty of black and red fruit notes and a welcoming pyrazine punch on the finish.

Mighty alive yet quite fluid and graceful. — 9 years ago
Just perfect with Mighty Quinn's brisket — 9 years ago
Not 'complexity'. This is 100% Cabernet , I think. Plummy & mouthfilling. Mighty fine. — 9 years ago
Nose: richness and complexity of flavours, black berries, garrigue, spicy, hint of oak. Touch of peppery flavour.
Palate: very nice acidity, good astringency, powerful and full body. Mighty finish

Despite being from younger vines this was far less ready than the regular Cornas from ‘01. Floral and herbal aromatics, a bit of wet dog, red currant and black cherry syrup, copious chewy tannins. Could use a bunch of time but as an accompaniment to a hearty meal it’s mighty fine now. — 8 years ago
Mighty good, right fresh. Got a menace of steel, a shimmer of the dope sprinkle-spices, a whisper of the dark places. Right lovely drinkin for my American-ass dollars. — 9 years ago
Cabernet Franc dominant. Dusty red fruits, vanilla beans and cedar wood flavors...still powerful and mighty present on the palate. Old world style meets Paso Robles fruit in this bottle. My favorite vintage of this wine so far. 75% new French oak. 15.2 % ABV. — 9 years ago
2001 vintage. Medium ruby - some bricking starting to show. On the nose, much more feminine and subtle than the mighty 2002. More appealing and subtle. On the palate, medium plus acidity and medium body. Tannins are more integrated than the 2002. Length is shorter than the 2002, but the overall wine is more enjoyable and more in line with what I consider a Clos de Tart to be. Drink now until 2027+. — 9 years ago

I don’t think I have ever had anything made by Ridge until a few weeks ago. Mighty tasty stuff. Went well with the pasta dish I made for dinner. Now on a mission to find more 😊 — 2 years ago
