Vintage 2015 | Frühburgunder makes me uncertain when to drink it? Very young within two years, are can it be kept and develop extra taste...? Enfin, this Ahr wine has a elegant smell at age six years. With caramel impressions and lovely raspberry. Also elegant and vibrant in taste. Paired with a burger. — 5 years ago

Starker Eindruck von Feuerwerk / Feuerstein, extraktreich, dicke Nasen, fruchtig, Kirsche, Säure, herb, leicht bitter. Würde ich gern älter kennenlernen! — 9 years ago
"Sunny mountain." From the lower Ahr with a high proportion of loess giving an easygoing charm. The barrique really stands out against the slender frame of the wine, giving lots of cedar and spice. Hopefully that will integrate better with time. — 9 years ago
Typical darker German Pinot Noir, upper class from Ahr valley. Top! — 11 years ago
Wow! Young, fresh and so alive!! — 11 years ago
Gorgeous white Pinot. Sunflower seeds on marshmallow pillows — 6 months ago
Rich macerated strawberries serious acid huge rose, closer to a light Pinot. This winery was destroyed during the flooding of the Ahr earlier this year — 5 years ago
Lekker, maar overpriced. De WG naast de deur biedt quasi hetzelfde voor 2/3 van de prijs. — 5 years ago

I've hit the last 4 out of 5 weekly wine committees and it has been a treat every time. This week, @Jeff Meyer hosted and schooled everyone on how good German wines can be!
My favorite red of the day. Mimicked #1 in that I got a lot of new world/RRV characteristics to it. Cedar, cola, Bing cherry notes. Thought possibly Oregon. Very Burgundian, but with a more fruit forward palate. Excellent. — 9 years ago
So elegant. Smooth, complicated, black cherry flavored and very concentrated. The nose is so fragrant. Perfect for steak. A great wine in the German style. — 4 years ago
Fantastic! — 10 years ago

I actually love German Pinot Noir, but this for whatever reason was a little bit over extracted. And a little bit tight. I didn’t like it so much. It was nice but not excellent. #spätburgunder #german #pinotnoir — a month ago
