A Penedés 100% Macabeu
I LOVE the nose of this. I'm constantly getting different notes pending temperature and time open. Benzene and pine sol disappear quickly and leave weird almostl lemon-tropical-citrus cleaner solvent in the best possible way. Maybe some herbal garigue and crushed mint in there too.
This is definitely the grape that makes me prefer Cava over Champagne any day of the week.
Many of those olfactory characters come say hello on your taste buda too.
While I wouldn't call it refined, it's an adventure for your senses and that, to me has tremendous value

Beautiful and oily and bright. Lime and stone and glossy rich fruit. Salinity and real depth. Delicious — 10 days ago

Served around 55°F. The cork looked all kinds of nasty underneath the capsule but I was able to extract it, intact, with the help of a Durand. I then poured the bottle into a decanter about 30min prior to service. At the ripe age of 41, the 1983 pours a deep gold with a transparent core; medium viscosity with some slight signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of baked stone fruits: peach, apricot, marmalade, hazelnuts, baked lemon, and those gummy peach rings. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is creamy, buttery. I thought this was a lovely, mature Corton Charlemagne and while it is very much alive, its life-force is fading. Drink now. — 4 days ago
Roulot’s 2020 Luchets is gorgeous already, incisive, textural and captivatingly elegant showing impeccable clarity of clean and defined white orchard fruit, fresh lilies, marcona almond and stony minerals. The palate is creamy, pure and ultra mineral with racy citrusy acids and exceptional balance and detail. Beautiful wine. — a month ago

Monumental. Among the highest expression of Burgundy. Still incredibly young. It has decades in front. — 3 days ago
