Gorges Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2004

Weeknight muscadet, why not? Holding great, much better than our last bottle, still fresh, but reduced acid, lovely. — 3 hours ago

Perle Bleue Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie Melon de Bourgogne 2016

Delicious and outrageous value to swap in for muscadet any day. It’s not melon, though. The varietal is folle Blanche. Same diff. But not. — 4 days ago

La Boutanche Melon Azay-le-Rideau Melon de Bourgogne 2016

Backyard wine with Phelan and Mel on the first shorts-worthy day of spring. The brightness+crispness, prickly sensation of bubbles without being effervescent. Light and not sticky. — 12 days ago

Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie Melon de Bourgogne

On my deathbed give me oysters & muscadet something. That’s being just right enough isn’t it? I don’t wanna be a snob (hey- never even been to France) just want to tell the truth about what is good to eat & drink. Oysters, this wine. Thank you, farmers. #nofarmsnofood — 5 days ago

Clisson Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2014

I’m certain you could give this wine blind to both an expert and a neophyte and both would rave about it. What’s not to like? The fruit (lemon curd, some stone fruit, green melon, lemon candy) is lively and generous, acid is vibrant, alcohol is in check, and the texture is steely with a soft cloud cover of creaminess from the lees aging. There is plenty of complexity for those seeking it, but it’s undeniably and simply delicious. Absolutely beautiful young, and from what I’m reading from other reviewers, I need to buy some more to hold on to... — 18 days ago

Clos des Briords Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Muscadet Sèvre & Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2014

Came back in a few years. Has more of a chalky nose but just so fucking delicious. Again, tang, salinity, some texture and pear fruit I cannot believe this retailed at 14.99 at the time. On the upswing — 13 days ago
