Just opening, a bit medicine like. Still acidic. 2 hours decanting made it good condition to drink. Black currant and fruits aroma. Not sweet, dry one. A bit spicy. Even concentrated compared to initial but still lots of acidity. Still need to wait for several years, then it will show good taste. With potential, 9.0. Pop and pour. The nose...just enrapturing. Soft coffee and coconut notes, bright raspberry, ripe wild strawberry, herbal notes, savory notes...amazing complexity. On the palate, lovely acidity, a touch of bitter medicine, earth and tree bark, then red raspberry, pepper. Medium bodied, and soft but very finely grained tannin on the finish. Deep dark ruby, barely translucent. Meaty nose. Notes of black cherries, cherry liqueur, herbal medicine, rose petals and a hint of pine needles. Bold and rich in the mouth. Masculine. Good job for the hot vintage. Makes me think of a big Paso Pinot, but with some funk. I liked this more than I thought I would. Anyone know what movie this wine is from?

45+ minute decant. Dark ruby color. Nose is a mix between bbq and cough medicine. Plum, prunes, and sweet fruit on the palate. Very CDP like. Super smooth and really coats the palate.

Not my type of wine, but great gift by my wife because of the back story. Glad I got to try it!! — 7 years ago
