Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2003

Deep dark ruby, barely translucent. Meaty nose. Notes of black cherries, cherry liqueur, herbal medicine, rose petals and a hint of pine needles. Bold and rich in the mouth. Masculine. Good job for the hot vintage. Makes me think of a big Paso Pinot, but with some funk. I liked this more than I thought I would. Good now but probably can get a little better with some additional age. — 4 years ago

Just opening, a bit medicine like. Still acidic. 2 hours decanting made it good condition to drink. Black currant and fruits aroma. Not sweet, dry one. A bit spicy. Even concentrated compared to initial but still lots of acidity. Still need to wait for several years, then it will show good taste.
