Deep dark ruby, barely translucent. Meaty nose. Notes of black cherries, cherry liqueur, herbal medicine, rose petals and a hint of pine needles. Bold and rich in the mouth. Masculine. Good job for the hot vintage. Makes me think of a big Paso Pinot, but with some funk. I liked this more than I thought I would. Good now but probably can get a little better with some additional age.

Has developed into a very tasty wine. Powerful and rich, but not overripe.
