2017 vintage. Opened off the list for the Friday Lunch Bunch (FLB). Decanted and tasted after 45 minutes. Medium body. In a state of transition whereas the initially big fruit and body are thinning out. Dropped some tannins but picked up some Burgundian-styled, younger tartness-think pomegranate/cranberry. Earthy, leaner nose. 2.27.26. — 4 months ago
Light body, yet rich in flavor. Smooth, with no distracting notes or aftertaste. A nice vintage—great with a light meal, charcuterie, or dessert — 7 months ago
Fruit and earth and heme and amazing tannins and just a hint of Brett. Quite lovely though. Could certainly have aged longer but I didn’t feel like waiting. — 10 months ago

No ratings on this wine in a while it seems. The 2024 vintage is quite quaffable, although more tannin than I’d expect in a carbonic wine. Perhaps semi-carbonic, with some time on that 100% whole cluster following the carbonic maceration? A very enjoyable wine though, fruit forward as you’d expect from carbonic but with more structure and grip. Well made. — 4 months ago
Smooth, well-rounded Pouilly-Fuissé at Aquitaine, South End, Boston — 8 months ago
Original price tag, this Crozes-Hermitage is really remarkable (I believe La Guiraude is a special cuvée?), meaty, smoky, classic aged French Syrah, long finish, amazingly this was the most ready to drink of these wines I’ve been posting tonight, and the favorite of at least one of our 6 tasters tonight!! With all that said, if anyone has bottles of this wine, it’s fully mature. — 10 months ago
