Smoky-ripe black cherry and violets with acid and tannin galore. Serve chilled with charcuterie and cheese, this could be a Piemontese Cru Beaujolais stand-in. The Vajra version is dry and weighs in at 14% ABV. Freisa has a parent-offspring relationship with Nebbiolo... so for some of us, things couldn’t get much better. Shocked (!!!) that this is a 2015 wine; hard to imagine how hard you’d get slapped with a more recent vintage. Eataly. — a month ago
A true showstopper for me, transparent yet with a great concentration and a pronounced, parent rock-like, minerality, that lies like a spine through the dense white stone fruit characters.
A piercing acidity dicates the palate with good fruit concentration, strong fatigue on the midpalate and exapnsive and long finish. — 5 months ago
on first glug pretty lovely. ripe black cherries, tea on the nose. smoothed out tannins. this will def get us through online parent/teacher meetings! — 6 months ago
