Delicious. Crisp and not buttery. Pinot noir based - blanc de noir. Aged 4 years on lees. No sugar added to make it bone dry! Lots of chalk in soil. — 2 years ago
It’s so fun tasting these lines from Marguet. All biodynamic and organic. All meticulous and so very thoughtful. 100% Chardonnay from Vrigny with no added dosage and absolutely singing. High acidity with nice balance and depth. Very fresh, very alive, and just the right level of tension and drama.
The fruit shines on the nose spectacularly with expressive citrus notes initially. There’s a good bit of oak here along with moist stone and a blast of apple goodness. The palate is similar with all the apples you could want. Lemon zest, quince, and orange marmalade. A touch of cinnamon and wood. The finish is moderately long with a final touch of spice. No need to wait on these, drink up. — 3 years ago
Golden copper in colour, so pure & expressive on the nose.
75/25 PN/Ch blend with zero dosage, disgorged in Oct ‘21
Fresh strawberries & wild strawberries, a touch of cream, crunchy red apple, fresh sourdough bread in the background, just a tiny pinch salt & spice.
Amazing creamy mouthfeel! Layered, rich, juicy, so complex. Tiny persistent bubbles, great depth. Red apples, hazelnut brioche, a savoury, slightly salty finish with amazing length.
Unbelievable that this is zero dosage! It’s so complete, rich, delicious!
What a wine!

Not unlike a funkier Collin Pierrieres, it took time to grow on me. — 2 years ago
I’m between 92-93 here. I bought this at the same time as the Marguet Shaman 17 I opened two weeks ago and wanted to try them fairly close together for comparison sake (both are grower, zero dosage), and the V&S wins (more body/richness).
Jan’21 disgorgement. Gold in the glass. I’m not a fan of decanting champagne, but I do love drinking champagne from wider bowl glasses to air them out gently, which this benefitted from. Doesn’t have that really brisk Carmex aromatic I get with many lean grower champagnes. It sports a gently oxidative flair with golden pear, red apple, and honey roasted cashews. The palate has a distinct bakers yeast note along with classical chalky limestone too. It was a match made in Heaven with lobster corndogs! Will purchase again. — 4 years ago

This champagne house just continues to grow on me, bottle by bottle. A decidedly pretty copper salmon hue in the glass with perfectly precise perlage. The aromatics are evolved and complex starting with fresh strawberries and orange zest. There’s a nice element of tea and raspberry jam that presents after some time and air.
Dominated by Chardonnay with only a smidgeon of Pinot Noir. A bit ethereal and lithe throughout. Even so, there’s a power and clarity here that you don’t find in many rosé champagnes. Zero dosage so the acidity is pure and electric. Refined and gorgeous, this is an iron fist in a velvet glove.
More vivacious red fruit on the palate. Cherries, strawberries, and more raspberry jam. A touch of mint, a dash of citrus. Dry but approachable with plenty of tension and style. A lovely, lovely champagne. — 2 years ago
Beautiful, full bodied wine, 69% Pinot Noir, 31% Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards. Ripe apple, pear, lemon, raspberry, wild strawberry, brioche and pastry with a beguiling note of spice - clove, cinnamon and vanilla. Dry but Rich and seductive, very mature aromas and flavor with a long finish. Great poise and balance. — 3 years ago

Pop and pour yesterday. Disg 09/2016. This btl is absolutely stunning. On the nose: dense citrus and cranberry, soft vanilla, a hint of nuttiness. On the palate: fantastic acidity, hazelnut, lemon, cranberry, melon, vanilla, amazing density and a long juicy finish. The previous btls were just young I guess. In a great place now. — 4 years ago
