This is one of my top favorite wines. It’s almost like drinking grape juice. Sweet and goes down sooo easy. — 4 years ago
Big jammy freakshow paired with Marcella bolognese — 4 years ago
Nice entry level wine from the fine folks at Montevertine. Great pairing with a marcella hazan inspired pork chops with mushrooms, tomatoes, and a bit of cream. Not quite integrated and seamless at this point, but a great pickup for $36 on Black Friday. Decanted 2 hours, improved with time. — a year ago
An Orange wine called Orso from Corsica. Orso means bear, a traditional first name used in Corsica for boys.
The wine is fresh and bitter but it's surprisingly a pleasant bitterness. It's not a wine for everybody, and not for every occasion. Today, this bitterness was a turning point...as life is not always a sweet fairytale.

Nice wine but not quite all together at this point. Decanted for 4 hours. But too much sweet oak for my taste. With Marcella Hazan’s bolognese it’s a nice pairing. Deep fruited and the merlot certainly comes through. Good acid, tannins still very there. With even more air probably gets to 9.0. But overall still a bit skeptical of super Tuscans in general. — 4 years ago
Really a mind expanding wine. Would never have guessed Aglianico or 2008 or 15%. Quite herby and earthy but with some core of fruit too - long finish with good acid. Lovely mouthfeel as well. And a great pairing with Marcella Hazan’s long cooked bolognese. — a year ago
Eye opening Cesanese from 2016. Full bodied with burnished plum notes and silky tannins. — 3 years ago
Not a Lambrusco but performs as one- especially if you go room temperature & let the earthiness & more bitter notes come through. Has sweetness in balance. Went beautifully with orzo, pork/beef meatballs with Marcella Hazan recipe tomato sauce. Rosenthal importer — 4 years ago

Almost opaque, light brickish scarlet. Smokey, dried savory cherry notes…. Gorgeous balance between acid and fruit. Hard to keep from crushing the entire glass. The finish goes on for 90 seconds and makes me smile. Marcella Hazan’s Bolognese is near perfection and works so well with the mountain-grown Nebbiolo. — 10 months ago
