A portrait in elegance. Initially the nose is shy, but unfurls into a full range of lemon, from underripe to meyer lemon; yellow flowers, lilies etc, a slight amount of flint minerality, lemon custard, hint of fresh almond. On the palate reminiscent of a delicious lemon custard accented with a touch of vanilla, fresh acidity, great texture, good length. What a great wine. Of the box. And yes Lyle will kill me for not waiting. But F…..yeah. This is the best most different vintage they ever made. Black currants, raspberries really and i mean really - juicy oh man this is insane drinkable. Light 12% with some acids so much grace and balance. Tasted this vintage in the cellar in May. Unreal vintage across the board. A different take than in the past. Stylistically different but boy is this good. — 8 months ago

Nose: a mere hint of Brett. Blows off. Gorgeous pink roses. Intense.

Palate: perfect sweet cherry fruit. Still a bit grippy tannins. Luscious. Terrific.

Palate: sweet minerals. Liquid white flowers. An elegant richness. Perfect balance.

Finish is long with just the faintest hint of honey.

This wine should not be this good. But there is a perfection about it. When you get a great bottle it’s just insane.

Palate: slatey. Hints of tropical fruit. A bit bitter on open. Needs an hour to open up and integrate. This may be a masterpiece with time.

Nose: white flowers. Grapefruit flowers. Intense. Finely ground minerals. So floral and elegant. Lemon flower.

Palate : elegant sweet pink grapefruit. So delicious. Balancing bitterness. Lovely. Perfect acidic balance.

Long fresh finish.
