third wine for me from flo busch in languedoc.

natural vibes.

100% grenache blanc.

blind i was confused, chenin was an option but probably not.

medium body.
high acidity.

greeness and baked orange peel, with grapefruit and dried flowers. and almost in the way but not bitterness all along.

long 🎯

an interesting and a very juicy one , and very gastronomic.

i imagine pairing a great simple lunch at the local bistro.

Costières-de-Nîmes Lou Coucardie Blanc

Potent yellow colour. Rich, almost Chardonnay like despite being a mix of roussanne-Grenache blanc-Viognier, and string body. I really like this one. 4/2-2023 (home) — a year ago

Léa Sélection Hermitage Roussanne Marsanne 1998

2021. Consistent with the other bottle - rich and mature, savory, soapy — 2 years ago

Lou Maset Coteaux du Languedoc Montpeyroux 2021

A bit bitter on its own, balances itself out when paired with a fatty meat (in this case, a Basque region raised pork loin). — 4 months ago

Passe-tout-Grains Gamay Pinot Noir 2020

Super interesting and unusual gamay Pinot noir blend. Red fruit/tart berries. Really fun. — 8 months ago

Lou 38 Brut Loureiro

Acidic and citrusy, tart forward but light and fizzy, what you'd want from a summer pet nat. — 2 years ago

Lou Taissou Saint Joseph Syrah 2018

This producer whom was relatively unknown to me just blows me away with its gobs of dark fruits showing mineral, meat, blood, spice, olive & violet notes. Great QPR at $40-$45 — 2 years ago

Lou Coucardié Costières-de-Nîmes Red Rhone Blend

Dark red fruits, dark chocolates and some meaty aromas. This is a great wine that will get better with age. We’re going to enjoy this with Christmas leftovers! — 4 months ago

Léa Sélection Fixin Pinot Noir 2010

2022/5/31-6/1 with ayu karaage, hachiku several ways, niku-dofu, etc. This is my favorite of the lower-priced Léa reds - there’s really nice acidity and flesh, and enough age to be fully open with hints of complexity but still with vibrant fruit. Really good on day 2 as well. — 2 years ago
