Rich nose shows moist humus, toasted brown bread, rich dark berry fruit, sandstoney gravel. Dark and concentrated on the palate. Rich flavors show dark minerals, dark chocolate, graphite, but not a lot of fruit per se. lengthy finish has a lot of tannin. This could go for several more years but is very nice now. — 4 years ago

On the palate flavors of ripe, juicy fruit with oak, tobacco, leather and peppery-spicy tones, dense and persistent, firm tightly wound tannins need to integrate with oak. Opened at least an hour prior to service. 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2016 pours bright straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of fresh tropical and stone fruit: passion fruit, peach, white flowers, minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and steely. I live this with the uovo in camicia. Drink now through 2031. — 6 months ago
