The Masseto Ornellaia is an exceptional expression of a Merlot, offering a beautifully balanced blend of power and elegance. On the nose, there’s an inviting oak aroma that seamlessly mingles with ripe, dark fruit—think blackberries and plums—with subtle hints of licorice and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, with layers of dark fruit flavors unfolding effortlessly, underpinned by a velvety texture. The oak is well-integrated, adding depth without overwhelming the fruit. Its tannins are smooth but structured, leading to a long, lingering finish. Overall, it’s a complex, luxurious wine that evolves beautifully in the glass. — 3 months ago
Great light fruitful wine — 4 hours ago
Wine is dark ruby, with purplish on the edge. On nose its ripe fruit, floral parfumed, oak in there, violets, tobacco. On palate, wine is full bodied, jammy, fine acidity, tannic, wine is open up after 1 hour decant. The intensity is there. Its still too young to drink. Try it after 2026. Red bordeaux blend, Cheers! — 2 months ago
8 years vintage. Concentrated and smooth. Black fruits. CP quite good!

Memories of Portugal. Lovely on its own and also goes well with red meats. — 9 months ago
