Delamotte NV Magnum
Reductive style with underlying Chalky Chardonnay minerality of Côte de Blanc. Full of flowers & tropical fruit. Very sunny and warm base vintage. My guess would be 2012 base. Lovely champagne for relaxing branch with friends and oysters.
Chardonnay : 55%
Pinot noir : 35%
Pinot Meunier : 10%

A magnificent Champagne with freshness, very elegant, slightly toasted notes, pure fruit with good backbone, excellent balance and a long delicious finish.
Magnifique Champagne avec beaucoup de fraîcheur, finesse et élégance tout en ayant beaucoup de tenue. Des notes légèrement toastées, des bulles assez fines et une belle finale longue et savoureuse, vraiment très bon. 91-92 — a month ago
The palest of straw color with a seemingly infinite amount of tiny bubbles. There’s a touch of perfume on the nose upon opening but you quickly get the more customary champagne scents. Apricots, peaches, and honey with faded flowers and toast. 100% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, this is one of those champagnes mostly concerned with harmonious balance in the glass. Very crisp and cool, there’s nothing overwrought going on here, all the elements are working together. Delightfully creamy throughout with medium acidity and round all over. The palate follows the nose with just enough citrus fruit to please, without ever coming in danger of going overboard. The toasted brioche and lemon meringue compliment things nicely. This is one of the best values from Champagne that I’ve ever tasted, truly wonderful stuff. — 14 days ago
Beautiful. Very rounded on the nose, hitting with vanilla, bread, preserved lemon peel. much more pronounced minerality on the palate. I love the texture, I wouldn’t say it’s a blanc de blancs — 13 days ago

Been awhile. I love this cuvée. Certainly one of my favorite blancs and favorite for its quality & Its price point.
If you can receive shipments from CA retailers, you need to order the widow (translated) from K&L Wine Merchants. For $45, it seriously over delivers.
Reposting this so the guy that hacked into Delectable via one of their other entities can give me a false like on it. 🤣
Happy Friday! Cheers! 🍾🥂

It’s good, but I don’t see some of the high ratings here. Pleasant at first but end up a bit flat. Decent for the rice I paid, but nothing I would repurchase — 15 days ago
