Gentle rolling notes of plumcots, smoked sage, gardenia, and granite. Robust tannins provide a warm, tart finish. — a year ago
So so good. Beautiful wine. — 5 years ago
Medium orange-rimmed ruby in color. Not too expressive on the nose: some dried flowers, albeit with stems and potting soil. Medium plus bodied. Medium minus acidity. Dry with nice initial palate feel but then gives way to bitterness and somewhat rough tannins. Medium alcohol at 14.0ABV but feels hotter. Some cranberry/unripe strawberry left, but not much else--pehaps some woody vanilla. At 8 years old, I would expect some tertiary flavors to have begun to develop. I don't think this is improving. It's a strong Brunello with a stiff upper lip, would pair well with a Florentine steak, but not elegant.

This was a pretty fun wine. Super aromatic and pleasing. What I want on a hot day. — 4 years ago

Light, crisp, a bit fizzy, but not too sweet, orange and pear accents, which makes it easy to pair with tarts and semi-sweet deserts. Nice way to end a meal. — 10 days ago
