Amazing. Pleasant surprise.
paired with fried Bronzino fish, jasmine rice, purple cabbage mixed with kale and Jamaican fried sweet plantain. — 8 years ago
I opened this while sautéing garlic and sweet onions. Tasted it as I added steamed potatoes and sweet kale from the garden. The wine’s transition tracked the vegetables: soft silky, then earthy, tannic, and a subtle bitter hit at the back of the tongue as the veggies charred. Then the acidity opened as I added tomatoes and Parm to the dish. 😍 — 9 years ago
Inaugural vintage of this beauty from Kale Anderson of Kale Wines. Clear pale yellow. Refreshing nose with some white floral, white stone fruits, pineapples, and lime zest. Crisp acidity (7.5/10) and light to medium bodied. Delicious with layers of citrus, stone fruits and slate on the palate. Seems to only grow with complexity as it warmed up. Finish lingers and very excited to see how this will progress. Drink till 2022. — 9 years ago
Super deep. Evolved throughout the meal. Geeked out about how well it paired with smoked ricotta in the kale salad. 🤓👌😜 — 9 years ago
Perfect with halibut and olive tapenade. Kale salad created perfect balance for sweeter notes and body . — 10 years ago
With steak tartare and kale salad — 2 years ago
Sauvignon Blanc May begins!! All the grapefruit on the nose and palate in this NZ Sauv Blanc; tart acid on the palate and lingering minerals. So tasty alone, but is going to be amazing with our kale salad with grapefruit and roast chicken with lemongrass! #gotm2020 — 6 years ago
Smoky nose and then berry bursting upon impact. Great price point for an every day wine with a burger or a kale salad, depending on your preference. — 7 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is the 2016 Kale Wines Rutherford Rosé McGah Vineyard
Second vintage of Roses we have tried from Kale, this vintage he is producing two distinct Roses. This one from Rutherford in Napa Valley and the one from the Fountaingrove District in Sonoma County.
Pale peachy pink. Lovely nose and layered with stone and tropical fruits like white peaches, lychees, passion fruit and even a little kiwi. Nose did not stop there, carried on with some white floral undertones too. Medium acidity (6/10), light bodied and well balanced. Crisp and refreshing with strawberries, and some tropical nuances. Slate and minerality in the dry long finish. Drink till 2022.
Made up of 84% Grenache and 16% Mourvedre. The Grenache is gently pressed, with as little skin contact as possible, going through the Diemme bladder press aka the 'sparkling wine program'. Primary fermentation takes place in their Sonoma Cast Stone concrete egg before racking in neutral French oak and again in the concrete egg. Only 280 cases produced. — 9 years ago

Delicious from first pour. Dinner at home 10/28 with Tile Fish over toasted orzo, side of kale and sautéed tomatoes. — 10 years ago
2020 is the year of Brad Pitt. The year he returns to the hearts and minds of everyone (Kris). Dinner @Bayfare Social to close out the Rosewood stay. Tapas of kale and hamachi and pulpo and chorizo. Delicious. The paella was missing the signature socarrat that makes it so delicious — outside of that minor miss, a solid night that ended with proper churros. And the wine? A solid staple that delivered as you would want it to... we must return (and not forget the croquettes or short rib) — 6 years ago
The 2010 Esprit de Beaucastel from Tablas Creek was a tough act to follow, but this elegant Rhône blend from Sonoma just did that.
The nose was quite similar with aroma of blue fruits and earthy elements with hint of violet, it was the palate that set it apart: soft, complex and deep, with great texture and beautiful acidity that adds the tension. Elegant and seamless.
Kale Anderson was the long time wine maker at Pahlmeyer, and Kale wines are all vineyard-specific. Worth seeking out. — 7 years ago
Since we discovered them Kale has fast become a favorite. This Syrah is relatively light and less spicy. Everything is balanced so nicely. We want to get more asap — 8 years ago
Tasted side by side with the 2013 vintage. Deep purplish red. A bit floral on the nose with some cedar, blackberries and quite a bit of spices. Sweet and heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Nice complexity on the palate with blackcurrants, blackberries, sweet spices, woody, a bit gamey and dark crushed gravel. A bit of red berries with some time. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2027. | Sample from Winery - $70 — 9 years ago
Cherry fruit nose, view burgundy, flavors cherry similiar to Robitussin(lighter) syrup, wood, earth good balance pair with tart balsamic mustard salad dressing w/kale/avocados/tomatoes — 9 years ago
Nice wine. Good tannins- not overly floral- a characteristic for this varietal. Good fruit- went well with lunch of frittata with kale and spinach. Snow day- so decided to kill the bottle. Why not? — 9 years ago
Enjoying it with a kale Caesar salad at the winery. Don't find that it went well with the strong garlicky flavour of the salad - both are delicious but it just couldn't hold up to the creamy garlic. A darker colour than most roses, but with a very pleasant, light berry flavour. — 10 years ago

Cherry pie on the nose. Hints of cherry, berries and plums on the fore palate. Smooth, moderate finish of leather. Not as spicy as expected for a Shiraz. (Sirloin tip steak, lobster tails, baked potato, saluted kale w baby Bella mushrooms - last meal with Kendra - Tim) — 6 months ago
