Syrah / Grenache — 5 years ago
Interesting “Vin de France” that is the brainchild of the great Louis Barruol. Primarily made with Grenache that is a blending of several vintages, all vinified in concrete tanks. This one was bottled in 2019. Deep ruby/garnet/purple color. Aromas of ripe red berry fruit, dried purple flowers and dusty earth. Flavors of strawberries, red and black cherries, blackberries, red and black licorice and baking spices. Touch of black pepper spice on the medium-plus and slightly earthy/musty/peaty finish. Medium-plus acidity. Light and well integrated tannins. Pleasant texture and purity. Interesting concept that has led to an interesting wine. Excellent QPR. — 8 months ago
Gorgeous Chambolle more on the powerful and tight side right now, needed air to show the gorgeous red and dark fruit, impressive texture, silky and enveloping, balanced and needs more time for the next bottles but great potential. — 4 years ago

Un peu jeune — 4 years ago
Still very young but opening one anyway since this is a Villages wine I always love, a quick decant helps the nose to become more expressive with a dark fruit profile, the palate has great volume and texture, more expressive than the nose, medium to full bodied but nothing over the top either, the fruit is gorgeous and the wine is very approachable, nice delicious finish not too square for a young MSD, good right now, the potential is great. 90-91 — 4 years ago
