Beautiful, elegant, graceful, lengthy and expressive. Silky across the palate and carries its oak so well, drinking beautifully right now. Perfumed nose of sandalwood, sweet wood smoke, bbq bacon, leaves, cigar box, leather, violet, talcum, melange of just ripe red/black berry fruits with some hints of dried character, and asian spices. Seamless from front to back. Anniversary 10.11.19

Notes of new leather and boysenberry on the nose. Nice structure, which presents earth notes, vanilla, black cherries, spice box and tobacco. Tannins are soft and tucked in - classic old-world example.

Very expressive and opened up quickly. Even in a lean year and relatively young this was drinking great.

Exceptional, expressive; aromatic and just so poised; holding back its full potential with residual oak bits; more behind the wine than meets the eye; #syrah #coterotie #guigal #2011 ; not big in texture for a warm region shiraz; more the elegant road, pushed that way by long oak time; tannic; 13.5%; AUD 200; long juicy mix of oak spice and shiraz blueberry; so fab #uncorkedandcultivated #wineandfoodtours #France2017 to visit; also there #2016.

A well peppered steak, bacon fat. Absolutely delicious.

Scorched earth, candy, iodine, blackberries. Jeff thanks Jim for a good choice...

A typical cote rotie that drinks well now but is best to keep in the cellar for a few more years

Smoke meat, spice, vanilla and cherry on the nose. The taste is almost full bodied, balanced, fruit forward. Nice example of the region. Glad I bought a case. Can’t wait to see the evolution over the next decade.

Notes de fruits noirs type cassis, des épices douces, de la réglisse. C'est encore un peu jeune, l'élevage a encore besoin de s'estomper mais c'est quand même très agréable. Bonne longueur

Incredible wine. Perhaps a bit more oak than I'd prefer.
