L'Ancien Vieilles Vignes Nouveau Beaujolais Gamay

Really enjoyed it! Would easily serve as an adequate table wine or for cooking. A particularly good vintage this year. — 17 days ago

Beaujolais Blanc Chardonnay 2022

Very light and pale. Granny Smith and a little spice on the nose. Medium acidity. Not super fruity. No oak apparently. Never had a white Beaujolais before. Good value for about $20. — 3 months ago

Montmains Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2022

Great Chablis. Not as good as Valions from same producer. Rich pallet with good acidity. 8/10 — 4 months ago

Jean Paul & Charly Thévenet

Vieilles Vignes Morgon Gamay 2022

I love these Thevenet Cru Morgons but they need a lot of age on them. The 2022 today has beautiful fruit on the nose but underwhelms on the palate. I feel like they add fruit and intensity as they age. NB it’s helped a lot by a long decant - even this young. Ps did adding Charly to the label take something away? — 20 days ago

Valmur Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2012

Nice wine. Initially we thought it was a little old at 12yrs, but it finished nicely. Very clean. — 3 months ago

Les Clos Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2013

Pale to mid Yellow. Ripe citrus on nose and palate ( Lemon). Oak is nearly invisible. A beautiful Chablis from a great vineyard as in Les Clos. One can see why it is a Grand Cru. On the light to medium weight palate, with air, Lemon and Honey and a touch of Oyster Shell. Intensity without weight. A perfect match with fresh Pacific Oysters. — 4 months ago
