Poli distillery €37. Amazing Grappa. — 2 years ago
Y’all probably know by now that I’m a fan of rosé. Anytime, anywhere, with any food. It’s one of the most satisfying wines around. But I’m kind of picky when it comes to rosé. It’s gotta have energy. It’s gotta have lift. It’s gotta have ACIDITY. While I might catch some flak for this, I’m just gonna say it. There is no surer bet in the world of pink wine than Corsican rosé. I’ve never met one I didn’t like. Hell, I’ve never met one where I didn’t immediately want a second bottle. So whenever it crosses my path, I grab it. By the glass, by the bottle, by the case. This little beauty (from the Isle of Beauty, no less) was made by Eric Poli, and comes from organically farmed (uncertified) vines on the east side of the island near Eric’s hometown. Made from Sciaccarellu, an indigenous red to the island that makes just stunningly bright rosés. Citrus skin, strawberry, dried flowers and grapefruit are layered over wet stone minerality that is just gorgeous. — 5 years ago

Very smooth and very nice red — 9 months ago
Super fragrant perfumed blossomed. Detectable grape. Very mellow. Delicious. — 2 years ago
Slight grassiness but a lot more melon and honey character. Felt more like a french Pinot Gris, but was much welcomed. So easy to drink on its own, but paired nicely with light vegetarian food as well. — 6 years ago
Full bodied fruity blend super Tuscan. Great with Italian food — 6 years ago
2021 vintage at Tratoria with Italian. Yum! 10/23/25 — 8 months ago
Awesome grappa — 2 years ago
Dry, mineral wine with noticeable tannins. Not many fruit or floral aromas, more like sour cherries. Alcohol taste is noticeable. Surprised by how powerful it is. — 6 years ago

I’ve had a lot of grappa over the years and they’ve been fun, in a rustic way, but few have ever really impressed me. This one did. It was more complex, layered and about as smooth as any I have tried. Drink now or whenever. — a month ago
