Pretty nice taste, i like it, i were told that was the best wine last year from Chile — 6 months ago
Love this 2013 bright and rich simultaneously. Great balance really opened up nicely over an hour — 7 years ago
Nice, cool-climate California Pinot Noir. Good red and dark fruits on the palate. I served it a bit too cold, but as it warmed up, the earthiness that this wine is known for came through. I don’t love California Pinot, but Rhys almost always impresses me. — 5 months ago
From an old Russian River vineyard planted in 1910, checking in at 12.5% ABV, this is a remarkable old-vine Mourvèdre that shows tree bark, redfruits, and amazing freshness and acidity given its 28 years old, great complexity and length, I can’t remember the production level, but guessing at most 100 or so cases, simply another great wine made by Rod Berglund at Swan!! — 7 months ago

Stopped by Joseph Swan for a quick tasting flight this afternoon, this wasn’t on the flight but since the 2013 Syrah was so fabulous, picked up a bottle of the 2011 to pair with some great cheese we bought, this shows inky color, mostly black fruits, complexity yet still so very young, medium-long finish, 11 years old going on 3, needs more aging!! — 4 years ago
Whole Cluster. Bright fruit, balanced acidity. Drinking beautifully right now. — 5 years ago
It’s a very rich style chardonnay, but it’s unapologetically delicious. Professional scores have it as high as 97 and the purity of fruit along with the deft use of french oak and balanced acidity are certainly deserving. It strikes a nice balance even with everything amped up and an alcohol level of 14.6%. Only 326 cases made, if you see a bottle in the wild drink it! — 7 years ago

These were still the early years for Joe Swan. Andre Tchelistcheff was consulting and a young Joel Peterson was under Swan’s proverbial wing before he launched Ravenswood. It’s getting harder and harder find these gems so this was a real treat.
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 1975 pours, a dull ruby color with a translucent core and rust colored rim; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of bruised and desiccated strawberry, smoked meat, mushrooms, forest floor, and an intriguing mix of spices. On the palate the wine is dry with medium tannin (integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. At 55+, this is stunning and proof that California Pinot Noir does have the capacity to age gracefully when in the hands of a master. Drink now. — 5 months ago
Perhaps too young at 9? Cranberry almost orange creamsicle like nose with thicker jammy body notes of licorice all throughout and a sharp finish — 3 years ago
Beautiful, intense, saline! — 4 years ago
Redfruits, somewhat ripe, medium-full-bodied on palate, good acidity, nice RRV Syrah! — 6 years ago

Super fresh and youthful Russian River Gewurz, great acidity, some evolution in the fruit character, spicy notes, lingering finish, this bottle is defying time at age 20!! — 2 months ago
