Bright ruby center and violets on the rim. Medium viscosity. On the nose, I found ripe cherries, blueberries and hints of blackberry followed by smoky meat, spices and finally some mineral tones. Multilayered aromas and obvious complexity coming through. On the palate, confirmed these and also picked up bacon and chocolate’y tones. Tannins were very much there, but in balance with acidity and alcohol. Finish was long and savory. Outstanding Syrah that will continue to get better over the next 5-10 years. — 4 years ago
