Fruit forward with super clean finish β 6 days ago
Writing tasting impressions from memory as it has been many months but wow this was a complex, layered yet lean #marlborough #sauvignonblanc. β 5 months ago
Home vineyard bottling. Dark and brooding on the nose. Classic Central. Dark fruit, savoury spice, earth. The palate has good weight and concentration of dark slightly sour cherry, and wood spice. Enough acid to provide the structure needed to hold the power together β a month ago
Lime, sea salt , citrus notes,, herbal leaf, with a bright, crisp finish.. β 2 months ago
Wow. I liked this more than most. Hard alkaline open. Citrus. Dry. Then a little juicy fruit on the way out. β 2 months ago

Unmistakably Central Otago to my palate. Red plums and raspberries. 20% of the grapes were whole bunch. Also aged in 27% new oak. I must mention Neil Martinβs famous Quote, β Whenever there is a tasting designed to challenge the supremacy of Burgundy, it is usually Felton Road that is ushered into the ringβ. Very much on allocation these days and can be difficult to source. β 3 months ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, light cedar, tobacco and chocolates.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward with blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, toast, light vanilla, spices, dark chocolates, licorice, coffee, light earth and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a young Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Already drinking beautifully, but needed 3 hours to open up properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Fruit forward with nice complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Interesting and entertaining.
Robert Parker 90 points. Wine Enthusiasts 93 points.
A good sipping wine that paired beautifully with my New York Strip steak.
A blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 7% Merlot, 2% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in (60% new) French Oak barrels.
14.9% alcohol by volume.

This is a secret weapon for parties. Consistently good and punches way above its weight class. The nose is saline (sweat) and grassy. Flavors of lemon, grapefruit, peach. Lower acidity, which makes it a party favor. My friends say, "This isn't too dry..." On sale for $10, but i would splurge and pay $12 π
