Butter Oaked chard but a nice balance — a month ago
Double decant and pour. A striking dark ruby red color. On the nose: brambly cherry, forest floor, raspberry, clove, dried herbs. Taste: smooth, creamy, rich, juicy wine with sweet cherry, cedar, orange rind, earth, and a peppery strawberry medium finish. YUM! — 2 months ago
This wine is inky dark and almost black. It’s a meal.
Needs food and a dense pairing. We had chili
Whomever said this needs airtime is dead on. I gassed this with oxygen and let it breathe for 2 hours and it still was just beginning to show its fruit at the tail end.
I would aerate and give a solid 3-4 hour decant next time.

Apricot, apple, and citrus fruit, with nice minerality. Silky and well balanced. — 4 months ago

This is a new sku as of January for Trinchero based on the Central Park West vineyard.
Blackberry, sour plum. I wanted more character. There will be character development with age. — 12 days ago
Nice, but I detect this this is on it’s downward swing. Roasted pineapple combines with lychees. soft acidity and baking spices complete a nice presentation. probably better 2 years prior. — a month ago

The Hyde Vineyard is like a Cathedral for Chardonnay. Merely tasting Chardonnay from this site, sought after by California wine making royalty becomes and extraordinary experience. Hobbs and Ramey have taken California Chardonnay to new highs with fruit derived from this soil. This example is no exception, with a good seven years of aging, the wine has developed deep nuances like nutty and brioche notes which soften as the wine breaths. Finish is long and refreshing with abundant citrus. Cheers. — 14 days ago
