Dujac fans know how great their ‘06’s are, Jeremy Seysses’ first vintage in full control. Aux Combottes, surrounded by Grand Cru’s on all four sides, is terrific in 2006, now fully open and giving wafting an unmistakable Dujac perfume with elegant spice laced red berry fruit, cocoa and Gevrey earth. It’s liquid velvet on the palate, notably impressive for the vintage, with superb balance of fruit character, minerality and fine grained tannic structure. Terrific showing! — 5 days ago
Beautiful translucent ruby red in the glass. So aromatic and heavily perfumed - I thought I was smelling the lady next to me but no, it’s the wine. White gardenia, violets. Not much fruit at all. Tannins are quite grippy for pinot noir, surprising. Finish is short-ish, bummer. The taste is very whelming but the aroma goes on forever and ever… and finally I smell that freshly rained-upon forest floor!! At the very bottom of the glass… pee-like ammonia. Not the best ending to a pretty glass. — 5 days ago
DRC Night at Secrets Moxché in Cancun. Held up better than most aged burgs I’ve had. Color is pale garnet, brickish. Notes of old church, library, dried red berries, medium body, acidity still vibrant. Long finish. Past its peak, possibly, but extremely intelectual wind. — 14 days ago

It’s not about QPR when you have a chance to drink history. I had other plans for this bottle but I thought about the bottles I’ve sold over the years and never tasted which now I regret.
You can’t take them with you so you might as well enjoy while you can. Very good, bigger than I expected from a Burgundy but its another bucket list bottle — 2 days ago
