Two Blondes Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2017

Lovely color. Lighter and lithesome. Woodsy scent with an incense and cedar vibe with elderberries. Flavors are elegant and classy. Bright. Has an old school medicine tonic vibe. — 4 years ago

Boushey Vineyard Syrah 2010

Wow! I honestly didn’t expect this to be so good (2010 being such a cool year), but it is fantastic! Big red stone fruit and pepper on the nose, hints of bacon fat, cigar box, and white pepper on initial palette. Medium bodied, medium tannins. Excellent finish. Yum! — 8 years ago

Big Basin Vineyards

Rattlesnake Rock Syrah 2018

Everybody seems to have glowing opinions of this, but mine was just a good wine and all the complexity in depth that I’m hearing about here I just didn’t get. A very good balance of strong flavors drank it across three days, dark pepper, and tobacco notes and ripe fruit and I will say without any overwhelming attendance. The structure was just incredible. Very good wine, maybe I’m just different than the other reviewers. — 2 months ago

Between 91-92. Big, dense, peppery, and fun for a not a usually Zin guy. Has boysenberry, blueberry, soy, and funk. Pretty good balance if you don’t consider the fruit. 😉 — a year ago

Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Dark purple color. Nose is not as perfumed as the Cyrus Ryan or Rattlesnake but nicely fragrant with notes of currants and menthol. While 12 years on, it is quite balanced for a Spring Mountain wine. — 4 years ago

Mount Peak Winery

"Sentinel" Cabernet Sauvignon

Mount Peak Winery on top of Mayacamas mountain range where the soil is bright red and rich in Iron, is one of my new favorite wineries in the world. This place was dormant and untouched as a vineyard from 1886 to 1920, when prohabition began. It was called Monte Rosso Vineyard. Today, they still have the same vines and fig trees that have stood the test of the elements and time. They produce three of my new favorite wines: rattlesnake zin, sentinel cab, and gravity - a beautiful blend of petite sirah, cabernet sauvignon, and zinfandel. This is the 2014 Sentinel Cabernet sauvignon! It is worth every bit of the 60 dollars it costs. The nose is the perfect cab - blackberry cobbler just pulled from the oven. The palate is blackberry and dark currants with cedar and oak. There is a buttery hint to it followed by a tingle on the edges of your lips!!!!! The finish is dry leaving you thirsty for more! This is an awesome wine so typical of California cab. What I love the most in a wine can be found here! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves California Cabernet Sauvignon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is better than the last bottle I had!
