I absolutely love this cabernet sauvignon by The Prisoner Wine Company. This is the 2019 and it is fabulous. I want a case of this for my cellar. Gentle bouquet of violets and daisies. Wonderfully smooth dark berries on the beginning rounded out with chocolate and licorice. The finish is very buttery and dry. Then comes the oaky polish on the ending. — 6 months ago
A bit over priced for the caliber of wine were having. However, it is very good. I had to decant for one hour and its a young wine. It is a bit sour and tart for my palate. — 8 months ago
The Prisoner Wine Company presents their 2021 Derange Red Blend. I love this wine. This blend is just amazing. It is a typical big bold cabernet blend. The bouquet is lilacs and violets. The palate has a dry finish with dark berries up front, Earthy mid palate, and a beautiful chocolate and spice on the finish. I Love this wine!!!!!! — a month ago
Switchback Ridge - Peterson Family Vineyard- Napa cab - 15.8% abv. Whew…. Better drink a lot of water with this one. Lots of lavendar on the nose. Opening palate is dark blackberry and black licorice. Then comes the chocolate oak and pepper. A beautiful finish, semi dry and tantalizing the tongue. Goes down almost like a nice smooth bourbon - no kidding!!!! a nice bottle of Callaway Blue water with this one! — 6 months ago
2018:
Bouquet is oak and berries. Just like being there when the juice is placed in the barrel. The initial palate is outrageously good! Big oak up front. Large dark berry presentation. No butter. Very dry.Lots of cigar box and soil flavors. No spice. No chocolate. No sour. 14.5% abv. Wonderfully dry finish. Simply amazing. Nothing to confuse your palette. I LOVE this wine. My favorite of 2023 so far. 67 dollars from wine.com. And for the record, this 2018 is perfectly aged for my palate. My palette disagrees with those who say otherwise. I LOVE IT!!!!!! Drink now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! — 7 months ago
Probably the best CabFranc I’ve ever had. 2019 Voix de la Vigne - Red Mountain -13.5% abv. - Washington State baby!! BelVilla vineyard. Incredible nose on this low alcohol cabfranc. Blueberry boysenberry. The opening palette is filled with rich, dark fruit and followed with a beautiful spicy chocolatey, graphite oak. The finish is slightly dry and leaves you wanting another sip as quick as possible. Good Lord. This is low alcohol and drinks like a high alcohol wine. Buy Buy Buy! — 6 months ago
Holloran 2021 Tempranillo, Eola-Amity Hills, Dundee Oregon. This wine is amazingly easy to drink right out of the bottle. Excellent for a lunch time vino. Bouquet is simple dark cherry juice. The palate is very subtle with dark berries and cherries. Very light on the palate. The finish is not dry nor sweet. Just leaves you wanting another sip!!!! Great job Holloran Vineyards!!! — 6 months ago
Great Wine. Andrew Geoffrey cabernet sauvignon diamond mountain district. 2016. Must decant for about 20 minutes.
Very nice chocolate and leather palate with a very dry buttery finish. Lots of dark berries up front and in the finish. Not very complex though. Lots of licorice throughout. — 7 months ago

Hesperian Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon 2014. Lots of sediment which means lots of aeration and decanting. After 30 minutes of decanting and achieving a cool down temperature of 54°, it is perfection in a glass. Beautiful field of lilac and wild violets on the nose. The pallette explodes with a beautiful, dark berry and black licorice overlaying a beautiful leather and spicy base. Lots of handsome dark oak and graphite bringing in the finish. Finishing off with a very dry spicy zing. Although not a Zinfandel, it is darn close. I absolutely love this bottle of wine. This is a fantastic creation of palette ecstasy. — 8 days ago
