Unique Chardonnay. Restrained passion fruit, savory and great acidic backbone that keeps it centered and drives you take take the next sip. Possible one of the most enjoyable Chardonnay I have had … ever… hmm let’s change that to that I can remember 😊. We are here in Down Under exploring the wine scene in Yarra Valley. — 6 months ago
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is inky and voluptuous. It hits the palate with blackberry jam, chocolate, licorice and spice. I can't think of a California Cabernet that delivers this much quality for the money. Black cherry fruit, tobacco and cedar abound. $18.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2021) — 2 years ago

Great wine I had at dinner at Joey — 2 years ago
A wine of immense pedigree and stature, the 2018 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard captures the essence of Joey Tensley's style. Soaring aromatics, dense fruit and beams of tannin shape a Syrah of intense richness and savory depth. The Colson Canyon Syrah is a wine of tremendous dimension that gets better and better with time in the glass. Cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, iron and bright red fruit build into the palate-staining finish. All I can say is: Wow!! (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2020)
