Caymus Vineyards
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Just tasted ‘18. Dark Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruit and floral spice, pure Caymus signature style, easy drinking, as always. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry, black cherry and currants with complex spice showing notes of cacao, cinnamon and rich vanilla oak. Fine soft tannins, nice mouthfeel, great balance with acidity, long finish, ending with notes of oak and mineral notes. Nice!

Due to the sheer quantity of this juice that we have on hand, this has become our go-to weekend travel wine 🎄
Prior notes apply.

Deep ruby/purple in color with a nose of black cherries, boysenberries, eucalyptus, wet gravel, and a touch of coffee. Full-bodied and smooth, the wine has a unique taste I can’t quite put my finger on. Not sure if my taste buds are off or if the bottle has a flaw. Will taste again later to compare. Update - My tastebuds are fine. Compared with SL Artemis and something is off on this bottle. May return.

Smooth, dark fruit, not tannic, seems like they added some residual sugar. Decent wine but for the price tag..... no thanks.

Very typical Caymus fruit, vanilla & some oak. Very consistent.

Sep 23rd, 2021Did not like this wine. It smells really good, tons of blackberry and vanilla. Not the typical California cab though. Somewhat cold but SOOO much black licorice and finishes with this bitter astringent note. It warmed up well and the licorice faded but still not the big cab that I love
