This is good if not great; thank you Steve Hansen.... — 5 years ago
Forged Vines is a Cabernet created by Stambor, Hansen and Durling, winemakers at Napa Valleys most iconic and renowned vineyards: Beaulieu, Sterling and Hewitt. They created something new by blending wines from their luxury tiers of wine. The blend exceeded expectations. Dark cherry and blackberry fruit with some espresso, anise tones. Very full juicy feel.
The 2013 season was a warm, dry spring with early bud break and ideal flowering and fruit set. Consistent temperatures resulted in healthy vines and an early and condensed harvest. — 7 years ago

This wine I opened was the 2020 Penley Estate Phoenix Cabernet Sauvignon. This is from Coonawarra, Australia from winemakers Kate Goodman & Lauren Hansen.
On the nose there is cherry, nkackberry, plum, green bell papper, herbal notes, currant candy and dark rich soil.
On the palate is black cherry, nlackberry, black currant, green bell pepper, spice, herbaceous, graphite, cassis, minerality and earth.
This is a full bodied wine with a velvety mouthfeel medium,+ acidity and medium + fine grippy tanninsthat move easily into a long black fruit graphite finish. A bery nice easy to drink with loads of appeal. Fall seems to be upon us and the leaves have started changing quickly. Have a great weekend and get outside and enjoy the change of the seasons. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 years ago
Off dry Mosel Riesling, aged on the lees so it has a slightly fuller body. Pronounced nose of lime zest, gravel, green apple, smoke, and new raincoat (petrol). On the palate there is tangerine, lime and perhaps some tropical notes. Just enough residual sugar and lots of acid, perfect for some Thai food. Outstanding QPR. — 6 years ago
Two hour decant. Deep maroon color with some purple. Serious nose of baking soda, blue fruit, strong pencil lead and blue fruit. Pencil lead very prominent on dry palate, which had good acidity. Medium long finish with minimal tannins that may have made this wine a touch out of balance, but still very nice. — 7 years ago
Light golden in color.
On the nose ripe lemons, yellow apples, oak, light butter, citrus, vanilla, Indian spices, light honeysuckle and light tangerines.
Full bodied, creamy and bold, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with red apples, oak, vanilla, citrus, spices, sea salt, white pepper and light earth.
Nice length on the finish with lemons and almonds.
This is a very tasty Chardonnay from Russian River Valley. Showing nice complexity, especially on the nose. I really enjoyed the nose more than the palate.
This four year old is drinking very nicely now with lots of oak and vanilla notes. Still very fresh.
Good right out of the bottle, and much better after 30 minutes of airtime.
This Single Vineyard Chardonnay is a good quality wine, that will continue to age nicely in the next five years. I've had this vintage a year ago, and it is much better now.
Nicely balanced with a great mouth feel. Buttery and creamy, and better when not very cold.
Aged in French oak barrels. A small production of only 350 cases.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Nice wine. Full on the mouth. Gives you some fruit, some chalk, tannins don't disappoint. Thank you Bart @Bart Hansen - Dane Cellars — 7 years ago
Second of the threesome reds from Dane Cellars. Dark garnet red. Very gamey attack on the nose with savory notes such as iron and grilled herbs. Day one on the palate mirrored the nose, notes of iron, pepper and meat. Moderate tannins (6/10) and moderate plus body. Slight heat that dissipated on day two. Day two the nose of the Mourvedre really came through, with purple floral notes. Palate added in some greenery and flowers. Heat began to come up with a long finish. Drink till 2024. — 9 years ago
