At tasting room, fruit forward, more distinctive and tannic than Carneros — 8 months ago
Great late spring evening to have some vino to go along with the wagyu cooked on the salt rock…mmmmmmmmmmm…. Tannins still a little tight - wouldn’t hurt to cellar 3-5 more years . Thanks to @Kevin Robbins for the gift. — 3 years ago
Big Pinot! Needed some time to open up. — 4 months ago

Last dinner in France, last wine to taste. This wine was given to me by someone but I don't remember who. It was in my father's cellar with a handwritten note "Daniel's wine".
There is tar, cedar, black currant and blackberry, cocoa and mocha on the nose. The palate is very well made with a great acid drive, some nice width, a beautiful black currant and blackberry fruit shining through and through, a soft mouthfeel giving way to some already nicely integrated tannins in the rear, living a grain and powering up some savory tastes, almost meaty, and a nice finish that goes on for a while. Very nice bordeaux! — a year ago

Gehricke, Sonoma Coast, Pinot Noir, vintage 2017. ABV 14.2%. 🍷
Only 2,038 cases produced of this wine. 💕 I love how the bottle has handwritten notes from the winemaker “production notes: aged 9 months, French oak, hand-picked, small-lot.”
And this wine has prominent fruit aromas and flavors including black cherry, raspberry, fig, strawberry rhubarb, also violet, molasses, clove, nutmeg, and vanilla.
It’s delicious and ripe, perfect for a porch sunset situation ☀️ — 4 years ago

Smooth tannins, probably right time to drink. Red fruit with soft tobacco lead pencil. Nice finish — a month ago
