Les Crêts Arbois Chardonnay 2020

had to decant for ~45 to let some of that highly sought after jura egg fart blow off—it was gnarly. after some air, this was insane. had a touch of bruised apple/toffee that i expect from southern white burgs. that being said, the acid here was wild. lightning rod energy kept the more decadent notes in perfect balance. salty lemon curd? killer length. will be dreaming about this one. if more jura drank like this i wouldn't talk so much shit about jura. — a month ago

Les Grands Vergers Arbois Trousseau 2017

Beautiful trousseau in a great spot. Cherry, rhubarb, blood orange, soil, autumnal dried leaves, black tea. Wouldn’t wait too much on it — a month ago

Nose is a combo of manure, herbals and cherries. Palate is so juicy and joyful. Velvety tannins. Sweet fruit and such finesse. Showing so well but has some years in it. — a month ago

Racy and fragrant. Lots of mineral grip but broadly enjoyable too. Very nice Chablis — 15 days ago

Clos de los Siete Valle de Uco Malbec Blend 2020

NOSE: plum, tobacco, black cherry, earth…a little paint thinner.

TASTE: plum/cherry … not much different than the nose. Seems well made, but unimpressive for the price and reputation of the winemaker. 89.

Ange Pinot Noir 2015

Some of the Loire crunch has smoothed out over 9 years, leaving an opaque unfiltered pretty wine with shy aromatic nuances and plenty of residual life, fruit, and vibrancy in the palette. Peppery cherry cough drops, cedar, and chalky minerals. — a month ago
