Black plum, dark cherries and dark floral bouquet on the nose. It's similar to Gamay. The fruit is sweet. Dark cherries, plum, poached strawberries & pomegranate. The fruits are a little sweet & a touch syrupy. Melted dark chocolate. The dark rich earth is there but it's soft and elegant. The acidity is lovely. The finish is rich, full, long & elegant. Really nice wine that most would not call Cab Franc blind. Most would say gamay including many Somm's. Label has that "Hellboy" look.

Атлетичное среднее тело с живой кислотностью и ещё молодыми, чуть просвечивающими через сок танинами. Мощно и пронзительно, с естественной питкой концентрацией, в меру напряженной структурой и небанальной фактурой. Натуральный фанк бесстыж, но не уродлив.

A truly great wine. Nose is cherries. And cherry flowers. Palate is literally the first minute of the first day of cherry season. So fresh and juicy it’s almost painful. A hint of licorice. Spicy. This is young. No idea what this will taste like in five years. Just a stunningly well made wine. Very very distinctive. Bought from Fass Selections.
