18-8, Disgorged in 2023. Holy shit, this is bloody amazing!!!! The nose is intensely elegant. Honey brioche, baked apples and spices. Bubbles are fine and sexy. On the palate, it's super - complex, layered and lengthy. And the fact it's only Disgorged last year...wow! My first Selosse. I now know why it's so hyped and I cannot disagree. Disg. 2/14…Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s particularly special to have with some bottle age. It’s stunning today, rich and powerful with crazy depth to its layers with a deep, complex core of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all seamlessly integrated. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced, chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that stays with you. A BdB benchmark for my tastes. — 5 months ago

Great nose and showing signs of maturity. Lurid aromas of red berry fruit, smoked meat, granite, herbs and smoke. Really gorgeous nose. Unreal terroir expression and so so vivid. Brilliant. 9.7 nose. Palate is ripe and juicy with terrific freshness and purity and all red fruits. Maybe a hint of cassis. Such freshness and energy here. Long finish. — 4 months ago

Gamay from Cornas. Love this wine. Gorgeous nose of stanky and pungent Gamay fruit. Violets, dark berry, granite and just so floral. Like a flower shop. So juicy and energetic with tremendous fruit and more finesse than previous years. Terrific acidity. Has a hint of rusticity and some big tannins but they are so ripe. Love how at once this is grapey like Gamay can be but also displays the fantastic energy of the granite soils. After 5 hours of air palate is a bit creamier and nose is so much more enveloping. — 5 months ago

2020 Disgorgment is utter perfection, a particular favorite, exploding with infinite depth of red berry fruit and chalky minerality with a vibrant, chiseled palate with singular texture and a finish that keeps on going. Typical Selossse super complex nose . The oxidative notes there but in check, at least for me. The palate is more full than nuanced but not out of hand because of good acidity. Apricots, apples mixed in with citrus and nuts. Lingers on the tongue. — 5 months ago
