Aglianico del Taburno 2018

Lots of dark fruit in the nose, and a bit of what smells like cinnamon. Plum, dark cherry, leather. Dusty tannins coat the mouth. At 13%; lots of flavor and depth. Enjoyed with bucatini and sauce made with garden tomatoes. — 3 months ago

Janare Falanghina del Sannio

No formal notes - from half bottle. I have always loved the rich flavoursome notes of Falanghina from the Campania region of Italy with notes of honeysuckle and pear. Impossible not to like. — 2 years ago

Resilienza Beneventano Falanghina

Donnachiara – Resilienza Beneventano Falanghina 2022
Campania – Italy 🇮🇹

Overview
This wine highlights Falanghina blended with other indigenous white grapes (IGT level) to add complexity and depth. Crafted in the “Resilienza” line, it emphasizes Falanghina’s bright acidity, aromatic character, and delicate balance without malolactic fermentation.

Aromas & Flavors
Quite aromatic, with tropical fruit notes alongside citrus and stone fruit. Subtle floral tones bring freshness, while ripe pear and a hint of melon add charm.

Mouthfeel
Bright and crisp, medium-bodied with a delicate, refined texture. Zero MLF preserves vivid acidity, giving the wine liveliness and a clean, elegant finish.

Food Pairings
Ideal with seafood risotto, grilled octopus, or lemony pasta dishes. Also pairs well with fresh cheeses and Mediterranean-style appetizers.

Verdict
A beautifully expressive Falanghina blend — complex, aromatic, and vibrant. Super delicious, elegant on the palate, and a testament to the grape’s resilience and charm. Absolutely loved it. 🍋🌸
Absolutely loved it.!!

9.6

Nativ velluto rosso red velvet. Deep ruby coloration. No translucency. On the nose,
Cherry, smoke, earth, clay and minerals. On the palate, cherry, smoke, earth, minerals and a long finish of blueberry and vanilla. Full bodied, extremely smooth and velvety. Tannins are present but not overpowering. 2019. Outstanding value.

Taburno Aglianico 2011

Very rich and deep. Really singing now. Raging Aglianico tannins have been mellowed by 12 years in bottle but are still prominent with a bit of grip. Dark black fruit but tart, loads of acidity. Well balanced. Would have liked a bit more nose. — 3 years ago
