A late arrival blew everything off the table. Still young (!) and dense with energy. I should write a long note, but I’m drunk AF. — 7 months ago
From a 6 ltr bottle. Party mode!! Thanks @Rob van Kalmthout. Happy B day — 9 months ago
Is there a better Gruner in this price range? — 4 years ago
Wow—so much happening here. Explosively fresh & zesty: key lime curd, spa water (cucumber, mint, lemon slices), green melon, barely ripe apricot, white pepper and marzipan on the nose. Equally as expressive on the palate, with a punctuated saline-tinged finish. A screaming value and at least one good thing to come out of 2020.
Attempting to sharpen my blind tasting skills by tasting Gruner, Albariño & Muscadet (evil triplets) in succession.

Italian Gru-V! Delicate aromas of white flowers, apricot and tropical fruits. Bright citrus flavors with mineral and asparagus notes on the pallet. Hint of white pepper spice. Yellow/Green color. Wonderful freshness. Tastes like spring in a bottle! Bracing acidity. Excellent. — 5 years ago
Green green green but fleshy and ripe. Smell a little bit like smarties- fruity and sour but not that sweet ultimately. — 6 years ago
Bra fyllighet med härlig beska — a year ago
I can never say too much about how wonderful Gruner is, and this one was fabulous. We served it with steak, alongside a chateauneuf du pape and a Barolo (!), and it held its own. This is the little wine that could. Delightful in every way. — 10 months ago
Incredible briskness and freshness on the nose of seashell, lily and golden russet apple with a butterscotch undercurrent. Palate is zippy with amazing density. The acid itself is almost astringent at first, like the juice of the pineapple core, but mellows out and reveals other flavors like yellow plum, apple, kiwi and fondant, all braced by stony minerals. There’s a subtly sweetness on the long finish that makes this approachable now, but it really needs much more time.
This wine is endless. I mean still improving on night 5 when I couldn’t not finish it. — 4 years ago
Lovely white, first Gruner I've ever tried. Nice acidity, a hint of grapefruit bitterness, and a tiny bit of body. Would pair well with shellfish. — 5 years ago
