What a delightful, full-bodied, priorat blend at a value price. We drank both the 2019 and the 2020 vintages; the latter was a touch more fruit forward but both were well balanced with great acidity to complement a ribeye steak. Yet another positive experience with Torres as a producer. — a month ago
such a cool producer that i’ve been following closely. located in castilla la mancha, albahra (vyd location) means small sea in arabic. it’s in almansa, which means half way of the road: such a perfect name for a region in la mancha. opened with lots of acidity that mellowed out with time and decanting. would absolutely buy again, but would only drink with dinner, not in its own — a month ago
100 points Parker. Cellerable. Long lasting. Elegant and powerful #garnacha — a month ago
Decanted for 1 hour and it tight and complex. Mellowed out after we paired with our meal. — a month ago
another great smooth delivery of Tempranillo and Garnacha. Rioja alive and kicking all over this bottle .. — 3 days ago
At home random cellar pick. Good stuff. Not sure it was worth price if price was what it is today. Paired with stuffed shells. — 4 days ago
Delicious, great with meat. — 18 days ago
Sleeper! Can’t recall what I paid for this, but it was stunning: immediately showed gorgeous notes of all manner of red fruit & cassis, strong vein of minerality along with sweet schisty soil, loam, clay, spice, white pepper a ton of other notes. Reminded of CDP and Gigondas. Such purity, beautiful old vine material handled well - oak accented/enhanced - all polish & a fine cut. Captivating complexity as it unwound over the course of a couple of hours. Dead sexy — 2 months ago
