A m a z I n g. Fine furry tannins straight away so we decanted. One hour later this was singing. The nose was so pretty with cacao powder, faint sweet tarragon, and strawberries. Mouth coating raspberry fruit roll ups, smooth tannins makes this beautiful. TBL — 13 days ago
2014 G.B. Crane El Coco
45% Zin 41% Petitie Sirah 14% Merlot.
A Dave Phinney wine.
45/ 60 minute decanting.
Color dark garnet/purple.
The nose certainly grabs your attention. Blueberries, dried lavender, rosemary, orange mist. That’s unique.
Palate- Medium bodied, tannins & acidity are right down the middle 5/10. Black fruits & jam is most noticeable, influenced by some nice soft blue fruit. Secondary notes of Cedar, black candies. Vanilla hit you on the mid -palate until the very end. Surprising elegant finish. Drinking now. — 21 days ago
Dark berries, olive, dry thime — a month ago
This needs at least a half hour decant. After that it drinks really well. Gorgeous black and dark red fruit. Smooth. — 9 hours ago
Caramel butterscotch dried mango

Soft with the fruit unsurprisingly in decline now. Nevertheless there are glimpses of Cotes du Nuits and M-G alluring style still lurking in the background so still enjoyable. — 4 days ago

First encounter, aged St. Chinian Languedoc blend of 70/15/15 Syrah/Grenache Noir/Mourvedre. Mature red plummy with animal earthy savory notes and nice firm texture with acidic balance carrying through to finish. Still hints of oak at this age. Interesting. Great with Amahs pork. AA13 — 14 days ago
