This was a big hit at a dinner party. Complex, well balanced, and still a lot of fruit for an 8 year old wine. — 2 months ago

Opened a few days ago in the Northwoods of Wisconsin while visiting my boy at college. Spent a few days with him and the family making some memories. I didn’t try then, but it’s good. A bit of sugar on the pallet. Worth the price and will finish the rest with a Opus X. — 22 days ago
Light straw with typical SB aromas adding a touch of floral mineral notes. On the palate flavors of melon and grapefruit with citrus and honeysuckle notes, generous acidity, great mouthfeel with long finish ending with a salty spice character. Exceptional wine! — 3 months ago
Purchased at the winery years ago. The cork broke off. Strained the wine out. Taste delicious. Some oats but not overwhelming. Balanced acidity as well. Great with cheese! — 8 months ago
Really interesting how this Barbera from the foothills holds up nicely after 8 years. I don’t know if the 16 vintage was so good, or the wine just aged exceptionally well, but this is much better than previous vintages. Very mellow tannins, smooth velvety. A pleasant surprise. — 2 months ago
High toned but restrained floral and lemon/grapefruit aromas and flavors. Medium bodied, balanced. Dry, juicy; light, skin-contact, mouth coating finish. Overall, rather Classy and Elegant — 3 months ago
clear, nearly opaque, dark garnet to brilliant ruby at edges. cooked raspberries, cherries. meaty- like cured meats. lifted mint notes. Rich, concentrated but lively feel at same time. it’s that WA acid! gently firm tannins. fantastic. note to self: grab a few to age. — 9 months ago
